Athena Intelligence's aims are the following:

- Promoting multidisciplinary research on jihadist terrorism
- Elaborating and transmitting analytical and scientific studies
- Selecting and classifying information from open sources on insurgency and jhadist terrorism
- Providing specialized teaching and training
