Abstract

Parameters of security and intelligence relations.

The relationship between Mexico and the United States has been defined by the countries' shared border, their economic interaction (which has been growing since the signing of NAFTA), and by their common geopolitical arena.

In terms of security, the relationship has been defined by like-minded priorities and interests; however, these factors have not necessarily led to a formal alliance between the two countries nor a joint strategy in the face of potential threats.
