The Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) was separated from the former Danish Center for International Studies and Human Rights (DCISM) and established as an independent state research institute for international studies on January 1, 2013.
DIIS carries out research and analysis on a wide range of issues within the areas of globalisation, security and development. Also, we assess Denmark’s foreign and political situation and inform policymakers and the public.
The management of DIIS is the responsibility of director Nanna Hvidt.
