The Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University supports Harvard and M.I.T. graduate student dissertation research, hosts European academics and public figures, organizes conferences and workshops, encourages individual and group research, and conducts sixteen study groups. Center associates have followed such issues as the transitions in Eastern Europe, the renewed appeals of nationalism and religion, the formal structuring of the European Union, the evolving aspects of gender, new concepts of citizenship, as well as long-term historical change.
