This paper addresses the following issues: China's policy intended to foster the transfer of technologies that is in line with the country's development priorities, attitude of the European Union towards the technology transfer to China, which is a chance and a challenge both for its policy and for the activities of European enterprises on the Chinese market, and also the analysis of bilateral relations in the area of the technology transfer from the EU to China.
