This document analyzes and provides a commentary on the current political environment in Chile in the lead-up to the second round of this year’s presidential elections. Chile’s place among the most stable political and economic systems in the Western Hemisphere renders pivotal a close look at the elections and their implications—for the benefit of policymakers, diplomats, and the private sector alike.
