Abstract

The partisan leadership in the system of parties in Mexico

The leadership of political parties after the 2006 presidential elections has been determined to place a competitive bid policy. The party system produces plurality and diversity, but with a focus on three dominant parties. The kind of charismatic leadership has no features, but administrative, strong, intermediate and weak. The PRI and PAN are presented as more organizations institutionalize its bureaucratic structure, while the PRD to be the most controversial in the control of its internal parts. In the present context, the leadership of political parties shows that the PAN is an open and available to negotiate, the PRI maintained readiness for dialogue, while the PRD has shown an ideological vagueness of the project to continue, mainly because of the differences between the internal fractions.
