Announcing OECD Forum 2000

To mark the millennium, the OECD is launching a public international conference called OECD Forum 2000. It will be held in conjunction with the OECD's annual Ministerial Council and will bring together ministers, heads of international organisations, business, NGOs and civil society at large. The aim is to impart and share information, improve communication and foster a climate of enlightened policy-making for all. Forum 2000 will comprise seminars and workshops where participants will be free to engage in discussion and debate on the key issues confronting our globalised, knowledge society and to explore together how the new economy can be shaped and managed for the future.

A "knowledge fair", featuring up to 100 key organisations in the global economy, will run alongside the seminars and workshops, offering a rare opportunity for those organisations and conference participants to interact. Forum 2000 will take place in Paris in 26-28 June 2000.
