Walter C. Opello, Jr., is professor of political science at the State University of New York, Oswego. He is author of Portugal: From Monarchy to Pluralist Democracy.

Stephen J. Rosow is associate professor of political science at the State University of New York, Oswego. He is editor (with Naeem Inayatullah and Mark Rupert) of The Global Economy as Political Space.
